The Alienware m18 R1 is available in two display configurations. The base configuration is an 18-inch QHD (2560 x 1600) 165 Hz IPS panel, while an FHD+ (1920 x 1200) 480Hz IPS panel is a $50 upcharge. Our review unit came with the latter. Measuring 18 inches across, the m18 R1 is the true definition of a desktop-replacement gaming laptop.
